Main Question 1 Question 2 Question 3 Question 4 Question 5 presented as part of Consuming Places

What problem solving practices have been instrumental in creating locally responsive solutions? Can these be applied to other communities?

We utilized a philosophy of "don't worry, it will work" when solving problems. We were not concerned about accurate measurement, exact fit, etc... The most important thing was that the principles of geometry would naturally create the ideal state in structure and serve our purpose of protecting us from wind and sun.

I believe that our designs can be used for cheap housing in developing countries. Any kind of rigid strut is appropriate for this type of construction. I've seen metal, bamboo, plastic, and wood all used to build a Geometry Dome. I feel that this design would work very well in places with wind, rain, and snow. With some basic plastic people can build living spaces, greenhouses, and storehouses that are superior to structures built using right angles.
